Projects?
A friend of mine recently sent out an email saying she can't get any projects done around the house as the kids are into everything and if she does manage to get away from them, they end up fighting. Her idea was a babysitting day swap to do some things around the house.
Here was my response to her:
Jill,
I don't know what you are talking about. My children are perfect angels while I am doing projects around the house. They are usually practicing their multiplication or division (yes, at 6 & 3) while I am working and often they just help me out with the projects. They have no problem when I throw out old toys or give them away (never a tear is shed) and they would never ask to play with things that I have all ready organized or cleaned up. They never fight, in fact I often find them praying together about how grateful they are to have each other.
So what's the problem?
